Day Ten: Poetry, Poetry and--oh yeah, more Poetry!

Today in class we:

• Took a quiz on Ernest Hemingway
  
• Reviewed Langston Hughes poems from the reading yesterday.
  
• Did a group activity where pairs read and analyzed poems and then taught them to the rest of the class! 
  
• Altogether there were 7 poems analyzed and discussed.
  

Homework:

1. Read poems by Toomer and Bontempts 937-928
2. Study for Poetry Terms Quiz tomorrow!
3. Find, print and bring in two poems that you would like to explicate in your paper--either from the textbook or from the websites that I listed for you under web links on this blog.
   
4. Study for the Call of the Wild test tomorrow
   
5. Work on Unit 5 Vocabulary
   
6. Begin reviewing for the Unit 5  Test on Thurs.
